During his salad days in Austin, Roberts admits, launching a music career was the last thing he thought of. After working on ranches and construction sites across Texas, and doing everything from carpeting to car washing, he eventually founded Aspen Hatter, a very successful hat manufacturing company with celebrity fans.
“I never thought I would play music,” he says. “I never wanted to play music. It’s just that the music kept falling in and out of me until I had no choice.
“I’m happy to be able to share more songs with the world,” says Roberts of the Lost and found EP. “These are the same Joshua Tree sessions as the red feather EP comes from, and they took a long time to come. In fact, we’ve been back in the studio since then and already have a full record in the bag to go. “
